Danni + Jordan | Hawaiian Destination Wedding | Part 1/2

In August of 2016, we had the pleasure of capturing our real, first destination wedding in Hawaii. This is part 1 of 2 - the next blog post will feature their California Desert Reception!

First off, we would like to give a huge shoutout to Jordan + Danni and ALL of their family and friends who served us so graciously and kindly and allowed us to experience this amazing day.

Jake and I had strong desires to go back to Hawaii (where we celebrated our one year anniversary) but didn't think it would work out this last year. That's when Danni messaged me and told me their original wedding venue (by our homes in CA) wasn't going to work out anymore and they had plans of finding one in Hawaii. WHAT?! I was trying not to get my hopes up in case it didn't happen. But it did. They found the most incredible venue - The Secret Island in Kualoa Ranch, Kaneohe, HI.

Enough of me talking, check out some pictures of their amazing destination shore-side ceremony, and don't forget to check out the next blog featuring their beautiful backyard reception!

Also, Ricky Farris did their wedding video, which you can see here!

Santa Ana Wedding | Christy + Pauley

It's always a cool thing to me when we book clients who were guests at other weddings that we've photographed. So many different paths have crossed and friendships have developed that otherwise wouldn't have if it weren't for our awesome job. We booked these two lovebirds online and officially met Christy and Pauley for the first time in person on their wedding day! I love that it wasn't awkward at all - that all of their friends and family treated us as one of their own.

You get to know a couple really well on their wedding day - a day full of highs and (sometimes) stressful lows that exhibit their character. Their dispositions were unperturbed, humble, and gracious. They exuded love towards so many others not counting the love that they have for one another. Their wedding was all things wonderful, pure, and beautiful with lots of tears, heartfelt speeches, laughter, and happiness.

Together, they got married in the chapel at Calvary Church of Santa Ana (with epic Star Wars music, might I add) and ran off into their future through hundreds of bubbles blown by all their loved ones!
